New Haidts. (Well, new to me.)
A friend sent me this TED talk from 2008 where Jonathan Haidt describes the moral (psychological) roots of liberal and conservative worldviews. I’ve read his recent book, The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion, and it covers a lot of the same ground as my other research, though with a focus more on politics and less on science understanding, so I haven’t posted a separate reflection about it (I might still). But it’s a great read. And this is a great talk.
